Expressive Floral Acrylics at Franklin Park Conservatory

Get inspired by the vibrant colors of florals! In this one-time workshop, we will create a simple, colorful acrylic painting of expressive, abstract flowers. We’ll use a variety of tools and materials, mix drawing and painting, and try exaggerated colors to create fun, stylized art.

Botanical Painting at the McConnell Art Center

Create a unique bouquet that won’t wilt over time. We’ll take a closer look at flowers and plants and go through the process of painting from drawing to final details. Painters are welcome to use acrylic or oil paints for this class.

Texture in Oil Painting at the McConnell Art Center

Experiment with oil paints! In this class we’ll explore using unusual tools like paint rollers, combs, and squeegees, as well as trying different materials that we can add to oil paint to create textured and unusual paintings. Over the three-week class, we will create at least one textured oil painting.

Holiday Printmaking at Franklin Park Conservatory

Send your loved ones something beautiful. In this one-time workshop, we will use natural materials, stamping, and printmaking techniques to help you create unique greeting cards. Each participant will take home their own set of hand-made cards with no prior art experience needed. All supplies provided by instructor.
