Beginning and Intermediate Acrylic Painting at the McConnell Art Center

Have fun painting with acrylics, whether you’ve taken a painting class before or have never held a brush. In this class, you will learn how to use acrylic paints, mix colors accurately, and try multiple methods to create beautiful paintings. Students will learn painting techniques to begin finding their own artistic style.

Abstract Painting at the McConnell Art Center

Curious about abstract art? In this class, we’ll explore the world of abstract painting–art that doesn’t look like real life. Students will create abstract art inspired by natural objects, test out textures and experiment with mixing materials, along with other projects. Students can use either acrylic or oil paints for class

Expressive Wildlife Painting at Mohican State Park Lodge

At this Arts in the Parks program, you can create playful acrylic paintings inspired by plants and animals. The paintings will help us identify and enjoy some of the wild residents of Mohican State Park. Each day we will explore different materials and techniques to help us paint our wildlife art. Guests of any experience level are welcome to attend as we paint together in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. 

All workshop sessions are designed so that participants may create a painting in one session or over the course of all five. Please register so we can plan for materials.
